The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.
SASSA will be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed regarding the superior range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is because of sassa status the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area daily. The assistance place established for intervention activities a higher inflow of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to empower the servicing of all consumers and maximize entry to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
